Cleaning...How to do it RIGHT & FAST
When I first began Creasey Cleaning, 4 years ago, I had no training on how to clean. I only knew how to clean. I was thorough but I wasn’t efficient. It would take me around 4 hours to clean a 2000 sq ft house, that was set up on bi-weekly cleanings, that was already pretty clean to begin with.
2 years ago, I found the MOST AMAZING program for training cleaners to be thorough & efficient!! Speed Cleaning quite literally changed the way I clean. Even my own home. Before when I would clean, I would be all over the room, cleaning every which way and just trying to make the house spotlessly clean and not take all day. Which was a waste of my time and would take me 4 hours or more depending on the size of the house.
With Speed Cleaning, (Thank you Jeff Campbell & Debbie Sardone!), I was able to cut my time almost IN HALF, in EVERY home!!! Once I learned the system and put it into practice, I was able to clean that same 2000 sq ft house in just over 2 hours. Amazing right?!?! I could then clean more houses in a day, which meant a bigger paycheck! I was sure happy about that! haha
The “secret” is this: when you clean a room, you go left to right, top to bottom, back to front. I don’t think it really matters whether you go left to right or right to left as long as you’re following the method consistently. Talk about a game changing time saver!!
It also taught me to use the proper tools for the type of “dirt” I’m cleaning. Sometimes you can just use a cloth and spray to clean, others may need a plastic scraper or a sponge, while still others may need an SOS pad and a metal razor blade to get clean. Always test the cleaners and tools in inconspicuous areas first though! You don’t want to damage anything.
These days I’m not in the field cleaning houses but we began training our cleaners using the Speed Cleaning method. It has proven so effective over and over again. It doesn’t just work for us professionals. You can use it in the everyday cleaning of your home. Try it! You’ll be amazed at how little time it takes to clean your home when you use this method.
